Indeterminacy as Method
Abstract
Authorship should not be understood as an isolated act of individual originality but as an open-ended, collective process shaped by shared knowledge. Employing a production method developed outside of the context they address.
How can a method based on indeterminacy be affronted in spatial terms? Certain principles produce certain methods of production and, ultimately, a particular set of forms. Positioning a method-driven practice, where theory and practice operate as a unified process challenges conventional notions of originality. It embraces reinterpretation and misinterpretation as essential tools where references, options, and preferences come alive.
A clear delimitation on how to act somehow (contradictorily) guarantees the indeterminacy of the result. Starting from these limited ambitions, authorship becomes an evolving process of synthesis and reinterpretation as a contribution to collective knowledge. Every project is not a declaration of individual genius but an attempt to refine tools, methods, and knowledge to better engage with the complexity of reality as it is.
